  1. I had a similar cactus when I was a teenager. It only ever flowered once, but wow, what a flower it was. You must have been excited to see the bloom.

  2. Cactus flowers are always beautiful and often shiny. I love them but could never have cactus here, inside I would worry about Lola, outside I would worry about elderly people falling into them.

    1. We lived in a German hiring when Barry was posted to Germany and I put the huge cactus away immediately. Small children and thousands of spines do not go well together.

  8. We look after the spiky little things, avoiding their spikes and then, boom they flower and all is forgiven.

  9. What pretty little flowers. Every time I see a cactus it takes me back to my grandmother's kitchen. She had a table that was full of little cactus in pots.
